12 Days of Liberty Alliance: The Airing of Grievances
It’s been a pleasure bringing you our 12 Days of Liberty Alliance series, highlighting the issues that matter most to Missourians.
Today, we are interrupting that programming.
Why?
Because it’s Festivus.
And Festivus demands an airing of grievances.
Every year, lawmakers file bills that make no sense. The 2026 session is no exception. We’ve got a lot of problems with you people, and now you’re gonna hear about it.

House Bill 2192
This comes after Missouri removed DEI from state government. Rather than respecting the voters in this state, this bill attempts to lock ideological programming into statute.
DEI programs divide people by race, politicize hiring and education, and expand administrative bloat. Missourians should not be forced to fund or participate in ideological experiments disguised as inclusion.

House Bill 2114
Anything counts as a photo ID. Missouri already has a voter photo ID requirement. It has been debated, litigated, and upheld. HB 2114 adds additional options and complicates election procedures.
Election integrity depends on confidence, transparency, and consistency. Constantly tinkering with the rules creates confusion and invites litigation.

House Bill 1738
Three Weeks of No-Excuse Absentee Voting. HB 1738 would expand Missouri’s no-excuse absentee voting period to three full weeks. Missouri already allows no-excuse absentee voting. Expanding the window even further increases administrative strain, complicates chain-of-custody concerns, and weakens public confidence in election processes.
Longer voting periods do not produce better elections. They produce more confusion, more litigation, and less trust.
