Who is Advanced Micro Targeting?
Advanced Micro Targeting (AMT) might not have been a household name, but now that Attorney General Catherine Hanaway opened an investigation into the firm for employing illegal aliens to collect signatures for ballot initiatives, Missourians are starting to pay attention.
This Dallas-based signature-gathering company, which boasts of delivering “direct democracy” to voters, has repeatedly found itself in legal and ethical crosshairs. From allegations of covert campaign trickery to accusations of outright fraud and labor abuses, AMT’s track record is checkered.
Labor Violations Lawsuit in California (2020)

In October 2020, a federal lawsuit was filed by a former AMT worker under the pseudonym Jane Doe. She alleged wage and hour violations under federal and state law.
The case was settled out of Court.
Rhode Island Forged Signatures for No Labels (2024)

In early 2024, Advanced Micro Targeting was hired by the No Labels Party to gather signatures for official party recognition in Rhode Island. Despite originally being certified, local officials in Jamestown and Cranston soon uncovered serious irregularities.
Among the issues were inconsistent handwriting across signature lines and at least ten entries from deceased voters.
The matter was referred to the police, and a statewide investigation was undertaken. No Labels disavowed Advanced Micro Targeting and did not make the ballot.
Nevada Signature Fraud Caught on Camera (2022)

AMT was contracted for a Left-wing election reform initiative in Nevada when undercover videos surfaced showing petitioners encouraging people to sign on behalf of others and misrepresenting the petition’s content.
AMT called the release “a political smear” but didn’t dispute the content of the video.
What It All Means
It’s not just hiring illegal aliens in Missouri; AMT’s operations have raised questions about transparency, ethics, and the legal boundaries of political organizing.
The recurring nature of these issues points to potential systemic problems in the ballot initiative industry. AMT’s aggressive style has led to success in qualifying Left-wing measures for the ballot, but at what cost?
Voters and watchdogs alike are asking whether reforms are needed to ensure accountability in this high-stakes space.
Missouri voters should protect themselves by declining to sign initiative petitions.
Next November, they should vote YES on Amendment 4 to bring accountability and transparency to our state’s initiative petition process.
