Gavin Newsom has been trying to rebrand himself as moderate.
That became more difficult after it was discovered his government sent over $18 million to a Soros-backed nonprofit.
California has reportedly given nearly $18 million in taxpayer funds to the left-wing, Soros-backed Tides Center since Gavin Newsom became governor in 2019.
