Missouri DOGE: Eliminating Administrative Entities
While Elon Musk’s DOGE is rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse in the Federal Government, wins in Jefferson City have been harder to come by.
Governor Kehoe ordered state government workers back to the office and eliminated all DEI programs.
Still, there are a lot of opportunities to make our state government more efficient.
One win for Missouri’s Senate DOGE Committee is SB 729.
The Committee just passed out this common-sense bill to eliminate all administrative entities that haven’t held a public meeting or conducted any business.
The Missouri legislators love to create new administrative bodies that sound good in a Capitol Report mailed back home but never get used.
They sit around collecting dust and contributing to government bloat.
SB 729 deletes them.
Missouri has a long way to go in making its state government more efficient.
This is a step in the right direction.
Now, let’s get to cutting wasteful spending!
