She Sold Out Clay County: How Liberals Killed Property Tax Relief
Missouri’s extraordinary legislative session is officially over.
Now that Governor Kehoe signed SB 3 into law, Missourians will see property tax relief, right?
Not so fast.
The biggest counties in the state were cut out of the bill.
Buried in the bill text are population requirements that remove these counties from the property tax credit program.
But why?
It’s simple: Liberal state senators are putting the interests of the teachers’ unions above their constituents.

Liberals like Maggie Nurrenbern (D-Clay) made a deal that went something like this:
Don’t cut taxes on my constituents, and I’ll vote for storm relief, stadium funding, and tax cuts in other counties.
That was the deal.
Teachers’ Unions believe cuts to property taxes will hurt their bottom line.
Working families are just trying to make ends meet.
Maggie Nurrenbern had to choose between the people she represents and the Teachers’ Unions.
She chose the Teachers’ Unions.
Clay County working families will not see any property tax relief because of Maggie Nurrenbern.
