MOScholars: Support Governor Kehoe’s Budget Request
In his State of the State address at the start of the legislative session this year, Governor Mike Kehoe made his case for the MOScholars program:
“I was raised by a single mother, and I watched her struggle to put me through a private school because it was the best learning environment for me. Now, I want to help all Missouri parents provide the education that meets every child’s individual learning needs. That’s why I’m including $50 million in my budget to boost the MOScholars Program. If we work together as state leaders, we can empower more parents to give their children the best education possible.”
Governor Kehoe recognizes that parents know best what kind of education is best for their kids.
It might be homeschool, private school, or something else.
MOScholars allows families to escape failing public school districts.
That’s why we support Governor Kehoe’s budget request for MOScholars funding.
The House already included MOScholars in their budget.
It’s time for the Missouri Senate to get on board, join Governor Kehoe, the Missouri House, and families across the state in supporting the MOScholars program.
