The FAKE NEWS Missouri “Independent”
The media is a DISASTER.
Somewhere lately they all LOST THEIR MINDS.
Want to know how bad it’s gotten? Just look at the Missouri “Independent”.
The “Independent” is an affiliate of the States Newsroom, a group of outlets that began as a project of the Hopewell Fund.
SHOCKER: The Hopewell Fund is managed by Arabella Advisors, the same for-profit consultancy funneling foreign money into Missouri’s initiative petition process.
The donations are staggering. In 2020 alone, States Newsroom received $1,000,000 from the foreign-funded Wyss Foundation.
The Missouri “Independent” made its splash a few years ago by hiring two editors who could no longer plausibly pretend to be engaged in honest journalism, Jason Hancock and Rudi Keller of the KC Star and Columbia Daily Tribune, respectively.
That’s just one of the reasons that their “editorial independence” shouldn’t encourage anyone interested in fair reporting.
When parent company States Newsroom makes job postings, they describe themselves as a “progressive political journalism startup.”
When Arabella-managed and Wyss-funded groups began their push to enshrine full-term abortions in the Missouri Constitution, the Missouri “Independent” hired a KC Star reporter to write puff pieces about the campaign.
The media is BROKEN.
The Missouri “Independent” cannot be trusted.
Left-wing billionaires are resorting to shady tactics because they know their candidates will NEVER be elected by Missouri voters.
