Statement from Liberty Alliance USA regarding Auditor Galloway’s relationship with the UAW
Today, Liberty Alliance USA Executive Director Chris Vas released the following statement regarding the recent federal charges and investigations into the United Automobile Workers Union leadership:
“Auditor Nicole Galloway and her PAC have received $200,000 from the political arm of the UAW over the last two years. Recently, at least 13 UAW Union Bosses, including two from the St. Louis HQ, have been charged by federal law enforcement for crimes such as embezzling member dues, receiving kickbacks and bribes, money laundering, mail fraud, and wire fraud,” said Chris Vas, Executive Director of Liberty Alliance USA. “It is plausible that the donations that Galloway received are from this corrupt embezzlement scheme. If Galloway wants to be a watchdog against corruption, fraud, and abuse, she should return every cent she’s received from the UAW until the federal investigation is complete. Missouri working families deserve better.”
