  • Missouri maintains strong election protections despite coronavirus crisis

    May 21, 2020

After a session disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Missouri legislators were able to push a few key pieces of legislation through to Governor Parson’s desk before their May 15th deadline. Following President Trump’s guidance, one of the most notable bills ensured that our elections will remain secure from potential abuse.

Liberals have tried to use the COVID-19 crisis as an excuse to eliminate important election protection policies. Special interests and insiders worked day and night to push through radical election policies, but  Missouri Conservatives stood strong and sent a clear message: Missouri elections will remain secure, and this crisis will not be politicized to allow Liberals to destroy our secure elections.

Liberal politicians in Missouri have tried to institute measures used in corrupt states like California that directly undermine the integrity of our elections. While those Liberal politicians try to cheat the system, Conservative lawmakers in the state have committed to combating these actions and ensuring that our absentee voting system will be secure.

While there have been many efforts to loosen regulations, Conservative legislators ensured that Missouri will REQUIRE ballot notarization. This will guarantee that only the correct registered voter can cast a vote.  Missouri currently requires ballot notarization, and will continue this practice for upcoming elections. We are lucky to live in a state that requires some of the strongest election security measures in the country.
